anyone out there 30 or older?
this was the FIRST ever made for cable film and sadly NEVER re-runs it today.
it also won awards, unfortantly, not available out there on DVD or VHS.
this film inspired me to join the track team in HS.
Very hidden under the shadows of the more popular chariots of fire

Nope, I'm with ya...Just finished watching it on VHS. It's quite the inspiring movie,a nd you have to love the theme song...Very sad, but like I said, uplifting.

Great movie - one of my faves...

I just watched this again two days ago. It was even better than I remembered it.

I remember it very well when it first came out. I was 9. I remember other kids in school commenting about the movie. They liked it too. This was 1983. Hadn't thought about it for a long time. Kinda reminds me of that movie... A Shining Season... is that the title?? One of the Bottoms brothers starred in it. Sad but inspirational.

It was also one of actor, Robert Duvall's best, most underrated roles. It's certainly a hidden, forgotten gem!
