That's actually not a bad cast at all. I could see that working and being quite good.

The only actresses I could see in a remake in the Aurora Greenway role are Meryl Streep and Susan Sarandon. As far as the Garrett Breedlove role, I would love to see Burt Reynolds finally play the part.

As far as the other roles, Natalie Portman might work as Emma; I can't really think of another younger actress whom I'd like to see in the part. As far as the roles of Flap, Sam, and Patsy, I can't really think of any current popular actors who might fit those parts.

Michelle Pfeiffer as Aurora, Jennifer Lawrence as Emma :-)

Natalie Portman as a vibrant blustering mother of three with a cheating ***hole husband?

Wow, I just don't see it. Portman was in a film where she played the mother of a dead infant that was mostly about grief and was terrible in it. Not relatable or believable at all. I really don't see why people think this woman is a good actor.
