"Hot" is relative. It often has little to do with outward appearance and everything to do with charisma and character and attitude. Duvall is the man!!

There was a conscious attempt to make him sexy. And it worked. He is similarly appealing in Lonesome Dove. Duvall said he enjoyed it, but I doubt he would have wanted to become a sex symbol.
