I remember in my youth (14ish) a load of us went to the local flicks to see this and walked out en-mass after about 10 mins :)

Why did you a bunch of 14 year olds decide to go to to this movie "en masse"? That's about as stupid as Jon Voight taking his kids on a cruise that is intended for adults only.

That is a very valid point.

We lived in a small town and the cinema only had one screen and we all went every week or so, it was that or hang round on the streets.

Well, you were 14..............do you really think you all had good judgment at that age regarding movies? I vaguely remember seeing this movie many years ago and obviously it didn't make much of an impression on me so I cannot say one way or the other but really, you are expecting anyone to pay attention to what a bunch of 14 year old kids thought about a movie intended for an older audience?
