Harry randomly meets the female killer few times somewhere.

And why is everyone in the movie rude and bad? Enjoyable movie, but maybe a bit poorly directed.

Yes there a number of issues with this one, such as what you mention. I tried to roll with it being the fact it supposedly a smaller town as opposed to SF, but yeah.
