the book is probably the finest piece of american literature in existance. The movie is a craptastic waste.

Please, if there is a god, let someone like McG redo this and do it the justice it deserves.

I read the book in the 70's and it is great. The movie was CRAP!!!!

Are you kidding? The movie is better, they're always better. In and out in 90 minutes and then off to Texas Roadhouse for free dinner rolls and cinnamon butter.
