Sure would like a WIDESCREEN version of this film on blu ray

It's pitiful that even with Hal Needham's death we will still don't have a proper version of this film. The DVD that's available came out in the infancy of the format. It's just a slightly tarted up version of the old VHS copy.

I'm not asking for a host of extras or anything, but c'mon... Maybe even a cheap $9.99 copy of this film and Hooper on a combo blu ray.

All of Burt's car films need full on blu-ray treatment... in widescreen.

W.W. and the Dixie Dance Kings
Hooper
Cannonball Run 1 & 2
Stroker Ace

etc.

This is showing on HDNet Movies in the U.S. in high definition. With an HD master having been made, a Blu ray would be pretty easy to make.
