This flick is totally ghetto
Right down to the fuzzy camera work. Total shlock.
Paul LeMat is about as engaging as a wet dish rag.
It's also not an HOMAGE (I love the overuse of this word) to 50's sci-fi movies. The alien characters in this film are basically in limbo, from a fashion standpoint at least, in relation to the time period in which they landed.
The thing that bothers me the most about this movie is how many of the shots are set up by putting the camera so far away, particularly in interior room scenes. Makes everything seem cheap and sparse.
On the plus side, the physical effects are mildly interesting.
The "Invaders From Mars" remake succeeds where this movie fails.
