in 1984 and still remember how B-O-R-E-D it got me. The acting was atrocious too. It was bad which is why I'm shocked the critic Leonard Maltin gave it a rating of *** out of ****.

Beyond good. I thought it was awesome. And so wonderfully nostalgic to the marvelous sci-fi flicks of the 50s.
shareI also watched it on beta. In the the early 80s. I liked it then. But it didn't age well.
shareI thinking it did. It really was like watching a 1950's sci-fi movie and a number of 80's Sci-fi movies did try and bring back the 1950's styling of movies.
