I cant even stomach to watch this. Starz had The original and the sequel back to back so I Tivo'd them both. Horrible sequel. Change the first names of most the characters but not Lonnegans... all different actors? I didnt even finish it.
Sorta reminds me of Oceans 12... the mark from the 1st movie makes the cons repay the money in the sequel...
Horrible in one person's view can be great from another view! As far as I am concerned, The Sting II was equal to the first one. Both of them were great movies and I watch them again and again! I do not give a tinker's damn what Siskell and Ebert or some other prancing dandy who favors himself or herself as a movie critic thinks! I think for myself. Case closed. Have a good day.

shareI had the displeasure of catching this while on holiday last week. There was little else in English on TV but it is simply one of the worst films I have EVER seen. Charmless in every way, bad actors acting badly with a terrible script and dreadful, cut price soundalike score (I don't care if it was Lalo Schifrin, it was awful).

I finished watching it for the first time just a couple hours ago. I'd say it's far from horrible. I'd even say it's good.
But it lacked the greatness of the original.
