I only found out today that he died 1st Dec 2020, at the age of 79 (complications from COVID-19).

English character actor (born in Yorkshire), often found himself playing villains. Familiar face on UK TV in the 60s/70s/80s. Also appeared in the films Excalibur (1981), and The Spy Who Loved Me (1977). Always watchable.
