Does anyone know if they are making another movie to follow this one. It seems to me that they should come out with one that shows the breaking up of the "committee".

If they did it I would like to see a more sinister ending where the judges get away with it or the judges are rooted deeper into the system than initially thought.

IMDB has stated that a remake is announced with a 2007 release date.

The judges on the Star Chamber would probably be a little long in the tooth.
I don't think Michael Douglas and Yaphet Kotto chasing after a few judicial pensioners would make a good movie.

Why does every movie have to have a sequel??? Can't a movie stand on its own? Enjoy the story, then move on.

Nobody makes a sequel of a movie that lost money. Movies are investments with financial backers who expect a return on their investment. A sequel of a money-losing movie wouldn't have a very appealing prospectus.
