Trivia quiz/Viewer poll,....Where were Nelson and Adam from?

I'm not sure if this is a poll or a quiz,...What part of the country were Nelson and Adam from? It was obvious that Susie and Adam's two lady friends were from Ohio. Stu and OT were from New York. "Crazy Gat Ga" (the belly flopper) was from Massachusetts. Nelson's step father was running for senate and had a fund raiser in Fort Lauderdale, but that doesn't mean he was from there. It could have been one of those multi-state testimonials. Besides, Adam mentioned something about leaving behind the girls who's chests were covered by a shirt and two sweaters. So we know they came from up north. They never mentioned where up north. I was looking for some kind of clue,...a Green Bay Packer Jersey, a Minnesota Twins cap, a city of registration on his dad's boat....nothin'.

I vaguely recall them referencing Wizard of Oz's "we're not in Kansas any more..." but I didn't think anything of it at the time.

I would'nt try looking too deep for answer, especially when a movie's storyline is about partying. The director probably just thought it was'nt important enough, other than he wanted you to know it was cold where they were from.

There was also obviously some connection between someone in the movies production, that had a connection with Ohio State. Almost every participant in every contest, were college students from Ohio.

As for crazy Gat Ca, I have a funny story to tell. I actually saw him on the cable TV show "Dinner for 5" recently. I did'nt even know it was him, until he made a joke about a movie he did back in the early 80's called "Spring Break" and said his name was "Gut Gut" (Obviously, he forgot his characters real name). I forget what his real name is, but apparently he has a very successful career in TV, or else he would'nt have even been invited on the show. He pretty much still looks the same, except he's a little heavier now.

I think Nelson and Adam were from Pennsylvania, if memory serves.

My alma mater is mentioned during the bikini contest - the University of Connecticut.

His character's name WAS "Gut Gut." They say it countless times and it makes sense: he had a huge gut and he landed on it during the belly-flop contest. Hence, Gut Gut.

Everything about Nelson and Adam seemed to indicate they were from up North; most likely the Midwest. The comment Adam makes about girls being buried under sweaters, their accents. Plus, it just makes more sense thematically to have non Floridians making the trip to Ft. Lauderdale for Spring break. But then Nelson's Stepdad having a yacht and touring around Florida makes absolutely no sense. If you're running for the Senate, you don't campaign out of state. Also, as he's being arrested, Nelson's Stepdad tells the officer that he knows the mayor. I think it's just one of those things they didn't think through very well because *boobies*.
