Was watching Unsolved Mysteries this morning and they were talking about a girl names Tammy Lynn Leibert (I think that was the last name) and that she was in the movie, but shes not credited... anyone know who she is? Or what part she played?

I thought I wuld never get a reply.....I never knew she was the girl by the car,crazy when you think about how mny times I have seen that movie and that girl and never knew how awful her life ended up,its so sad! Wow! I wonder how the could rule this guy out??? I mean in the police report it says he really did approach her? So how can they rule the guy out ???? I realy dont understamd allot of stuff about this case.It seems there are allot of leads that nobody looked into and the fact her mama said she was nuts coupled with her freak out,I think they were slow to react.We will probaly never know what happened to the poor girl.How sad! And Im gald that GUYS DEAD! What a sick bastard! I wonder what spooked her so bad though? Poor little thing!

I remember watching this on Unsolved Mysteries when they use to air it all of the time on Lifetime. It is a shame that they no longer carried the show anymore because it was a great show to watch.
I emailed Lifetime about a year or so ago and asked them how come they did not find someone to replace Robert Stack to host the show? I never received a response from them at all.
I even asked them why they removed the show off of Lifetime for and still did not get any answers from them. I would love to see this come back on personally. It is truely sad about that young girls hopes and future you know.
That is the thing that just really irritates me about the police not following up on leads in cases. I mean it should have been done you know. I am sure it will get cracked by a cold case file team eventually and we will find out our answers then. Lets just pray and hope that happens.

My guess is that the posts were deleted b/c they actually identified the suspect by name.
And the SAG crediting rules were different in the early 1980s, and such a small part would not have been required. She may've just been considered an extra.

SPIKE TV and you can still catch the new show late at night. It is nothing compared with Robert Stack I hate to say it. Totally changed the concept of Unsolved Mysteries.

I think she saw something at a hollywood party after the wrapping of spring break in july of 82. not sure what. who knows. but something or someone got her. Its one of the most unsolved mystries ever. and no one knows anyhting.

I remember watching that Unsolved Mystery episode and supposedly she was a model of some sort but not sure what exactly she got mixed into while doing this film. It is sad about her though.

Just saw Spring Break on TCM, it was great. Came to IMDb to look up something about it and saw this thread. I do remember seeing the UM episode with the story about Tammy Lepperts. Is it possible she was the "boxing" girl?
