It needs a DVD release
You killed Captain Clown, YOU KILLED CAPTAIN CLOWN-The Joker on Batman TAS
It's in dire need of a release on any format since the VHS era -
shareCode Red has released the DVD in 2016. Look for it at Code Red Big Cartel store. Probably only place to get it.
shareI got the Code Red DVD and am a little surprised at it. Usually Code Red puts out really nice, sharp transfers (even if they prints are occasionally a little beaten up... but, I kinda like that sometimes, and they usually warn you that it's a "grindhouse print"). This one was obviously ported over from a VHS... and it looked like a 2nd generation VHS dub, at that. Full-screen, occasional drop-out streaks, a bit of ghosting, murkiness, etc. I was surprised that they'd do that. Maybe film elements weren't available or something, I don't know. Anyway, it's still easily watchable, but if anybody's a really big fan of this movie (I'm not - I like it enough to buy it, but it's not my fave) then they'll hope for another release. I remember Spasms always looking a little muddy, though -- I recorded it off of cable back in the 80's and it didn't look very good then, either.
sharethank you for the info on this dvd release but you're wrong about it being fullscreen. It's 1.85:1. Read this review:
