3D version

A blu-ray featuring both the 2D and 3D versions of the film as they were meant to be seen is urgently needed!

There is a DVD with anaglyph 3D and field-sequential 3D versions both on the same disc. You'll have to Google for it though as it's not something I can legitimately link you to...

A Blu-Ray release (or even a DVD) with loads of Special Features would be fantastic. I know quite a few who'd love it, but the current owner of the rights (now Sony, I believe) does not seem interested... or just doesn't think it'd make enough money.

I believe the available 3D version was bootlegged from the ancient Japanese VHD
release that was in 3D.

But I'd really love to see Spacehunter in 1080p resolution.

Very much so, chap.
The available one has the Japanese subtitles hard-coded in, which is annoying but doesn't overly spoil the experience.

HELL YES!!

I just noticed this movie was in 3D, I always loved it in 2D and didn't even know it was 3D..

I hope they remaster is for bluray..

The 3D was deliberately restrained by the director so there are very few out of screen moments.
