Out on Blu Ray in the UK

A really nice-looking Blu ray of Smokey and the Bandit part 3 is coming out in the UK on Nov 14th, as well as the second movie.

I've had the review disc for the last month, and it is definitely the best it will ever look. You don't get any extras (either of the trailers) but it looks great.

You can really pick out the Trans Am speeding off in the background (as Big Enos looks through his binoculars) even though "the Bandit" doesn't enter the story for another 10 minutes! Clumsy re-editing doesn't stand a chance against blu -ray, and all of the shots of the "Gleason-Bandit" driving the car/power-boat are really obvious.

In short, crap movie, nice Blu-ray.
