That's why I didn't like 'Erin Brokovich' ...

Just look at Sally Field in "Norma Rae", Al Pacino in "Serpico" or Meryl Streep in "Silkwood", those were grippy realistic dramas about average persons who blew the whistle on their working place's wrongdoings, not for glory or medals, but because they stood for their beliefs and thought they were right and sometimes, even what happened to them seemed to be against their own will, they don't see what comes to them, because they're blinded by their own integrity. But the films only depended on the lead performances and they all magnificently disappeared into their characters. However, Julia Roberts was still Roberts in "Erin Brokovich", she had already that 'modern heroine' charisma so the 2000's would be immediately drawn into the story, seriously, she should have watched "Silkwood" to prepare for her role.

"Darth Vader is scary and I The Godfather"

All Roberts as Brokovich was missing was dance walking to the song "Walking on Sunshine"

What on earth are you talking about??? Julia Roberts won an Oscar for her portrayal of Erin Brockovich!

We're from the planet Duplon. We are here to destroy you.

reply

"Won an Oscar"? The exactly does that mean?

reply

Oscars don't mean jack shit, except marketing and politics.

"blinded by their own integrity"

I love this expression! I've been guilty of this and paid a heavy price for it!
