Kinda creepy

well in some parts, like during the opening scene with the statues, and the night time scenes.

When I saw this movie on Youtube, I was not expecting much AT ALL but I will admit the gloomy dull atmosphere made the movie pretty good. The murder scenes were virtually bloodless but they were at least better than the usual knife stabbing. I think the fact that the killer is never shown makes the more more mysterious and strange (Almost like Black Christmas but nowhere near as creepy). If the dialogue had been better, the acting was better, the ending was more coherent, the climax was ACTUALLY a climax, the lighting was better, and the sound was more toned this movie would be pretty damn good because the plot itself isn't that bad. Most slasher movies usually take place in a forest or a small town, yet this one takes place in such a stranger environment. The setting almost makes it seem like the characters are detached from the rest of the world in a weird way. I don't know, maybe I'm just really good at pointing pearls out of *beep*

Agreed. There were some decent bits of spooky atmosphere here and there. For example, the scene with Woody Strode riding into town on a horse with the dog walking ahead of him was nicely done. But overall this movie was way too dull and sluggish to work as well as it could and should have.

I thought the setting and atmosphere were both effective. I know some people find it dull, but I don't.
