Film Adverts Before the film on VHS?

I can remember watching Sword of the Barbarian on VHS in the early 80's in the UK and i'll never forget a particular Horror film advertisment that was shown at the beginning. Does anyone possibly know the name of the horror flick. All I can remember was that it was a long worded one name title and one clip was a woman hanging herself from a stairway.
