Who Remembers During the Dance Scene.....

Where Tom Cruise actually wore the Ray-Ban Wayfarer Sunglasses?

I remember that scene. It is an iconic scene.
Now when you watch the film he is not wearing them.

Search YouTube and watch the parodies of the dance scene.
If Cruise did NOT wear sunglasses then why do the parodies have people wearing them?

Check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CHYvlL52xc&t=2s
Honestly Check it out...

reply

I saw this in the theater when it first came out in 83 and he didn't wear the sunglasses in that scene. I also have the first run VHS of it in the old Warner Bros clamshell packaging, and he doesn't have them on in it, either.

reply

I am certain he wore the Ray Bans and a white shirt. Research Mandela Effect if you wan to know what happened.

reply

NOPE...nothing happened...you two have faulty memories. You are mixing the fact that he wore sunglasses in the movie and on the video box......he did not have the glasses on during that scene and it was a pink shirt. The mandala effect is all based on bad memories and bad parodies. Nothing more, nothing less.....

reply

Mandela, not mandala. Oh really, genius? You have it all figured out do you? Then explain why Dolly no longer has braces in Moonraker, when everyone knows she had them.

reply

You idiot. She never had braces. The joke was she was a pretty nerd with glasses and he was a big ugly man with metal teeth. She NEVER had braces. I have seen that movie several times including when it was released.. People have bad memories or believe other people bad memories..,.LMAO...

reply

You idiot, of course she had braces. I saw the movie in 1979 on the big screen, twice, and she had them. I saw it again about 15 times on TV and she always had them. Until about a year or so ago. So don't give me your shill nonsense. Anyway, go ahead and ask 20 Bond fans about it. See what they say.

reply

Ahhhhhh hahahahahahahahahaha so all 20 times you saw it she had braces??? You idiot. I have proof she didn't. I remember her not having them and there is proof of it. You just have a bad memory influenced by others bad memories...dummy..

reply

You have proof? You idiot, how is that even possible if she no longer has them?? And yes, she had them, the Universal movie company lists Dolly as having braces in their movie character section: http://www.universalexports.net/Movies/moonraker-cast.shtml

Then there's this: Here you go: http://www.complex.com/pop-culture/2012/10/the-complete-history-of-bond-girls/melina-havelock Just go down to Dolly or search "braces"

Or do you think these professionals also have a bad memory? What, just about everyone knows Dolly had braces but you say she didn't? What, the movie company doesn't remember if Dolly had braces or not?? Who is the idiot here...

reply

My proof is the movie itself idiot. Your proof was written by people who had not cared to rewatch the movie and believe the bad memories of others. That is how it got started. One publication did it and it went from there. My proof is my flawless memory, the film itself as well as the Director and actress both saying Dolly never had braces....admit you are wrong....

reply

You're an even bigger idiot than I thought. The way Mandela Effects works is by changing things. You saying the movie has no braces IS the Mandela Effect. If no braces were ever involved, why would millions of people remember them? My memory is flawless as well, so how do you explain the fact that I remember Dolly having braces? Yeah, welcome to the new reality folks.

reply

I know what the damn Mandela effect is.....its is all in your damn heads. I remember NO BRACES...I didn't let erroneous news article OR other pop culture errors from years ago affect my memory. SHE NEVER HAD BRACES. If what you say is true why wasn't my memory affected or the directors or the actress??? WHAT MAKES YOU AND THE OTHER IDIOTS MORE "SPECIAL" THAN YOU ALREADY ARE???? Ahhhhhh hahahahahahahahaha......You are feeding into the superstitious hype Idiot....

reply

You idiot lol If i remember braces every time I saw the movie until 2016 or so, how could there not have been braces? Mandela is not JUST in my head, it's in the actual films and other things. it's a real phenomenon. You don't understand it, so you want to deny it. I get it. But it's real and it's spectacular. There are thousands of examples now. How about the Scarecrow with a gun in Wizard of Oz? Are you gonna tell the millions of people that never saw a gun that they're crazy? Because where there was nothing, now there's a gun. And a huge spray can. And a huge wrench. What about Flava Flav? Remember him? His name now is Flavor Flav. Believe me yet?

reply

Lmao....dude you are nuts. Most of the mistakes people think is either misrembering, mishearing, or media getting it wrong and everyone thinks it's true. Great example...Life was like a box of chocolates. It phonetically sounds better with "is" so that's the way people mis-qouted it and now remember it....

reply

You can't even comment on Flava Flav and I'm nuts? You're such an idiot due. Open your eyes man, you may just learn something.

reply

Dude I'm not gonna respond to every one of your stupid beliefs. I use to watch Flavor Flav's show all the time. Was never into his music. It was FLAVOR of love. Not Flava. Again you and other idiots pronounced it wrong. Open your ears and attention span.

reply

Don't be silly, it was always Flava Flav. It changed quite recently. Yes, you're correct, the show was called Flavor of Love. Flava of Love would sound stupid. But his name was always Flava.

Here's a link from a BBC News site that says Dolly had braces. You gonna tell us that BBC got it wrong also?

reply

Yes. I already told you that there was an erroneous story that started the whole thing.

reply

The only erroneous story here is the one you're peddling.

Here's a question I always ask people who believe in the Mandela Effect and none have been able to answer.

Is there a large number of South Africans who believed Nelson Mandela died before he officially died? The idea is that in an alternate reality, Mandela died in prison and never became the president of South Africa, correct? The "proof" being that a lot of people who aren't form South Africa thought he died years earlier. I have yet to see a lot of South African people who believe this.

reply

Well, for one, we would need to ask a large number of South Africans. But it really doesn't matter. There are thousands of changes that have happened in our daily life since they started happening (no one is sure when but examples range as far back as the 1980s) and when asked about some of them, there are usually 2 camps: those who remember things the old way and those who swear it has always been the way it is now. A small percentage cannot be sure. So it's probably the same with Mandela and people from South Africa. Nelson Mandela is one of the many many changes, not the first, but a very important one due to the large numbers of people who know who he is. I personally don't remember when he died because I was pretty young and did not care about Mandela, since in my reality he was a sort of terrorist and was not looked upon kindly. But what I do know I know very well. I know that the VW logo was always a solid piece, with no break in the middle. I know that Dolly had braces in Moonraker. I know Tom Cruise had RayBans during the dance scene. I know that the line is "If you build it, they will come..." These things and many others to me are facts.

People be missing that old time Rock ‘n’ Roll so much they forget Joel didn’t originally look that cool in the scene, wearing the shades. In other words, parodies have people putting on the sunglasses because it doesn’t get any more R&R than that. Or more like the sunglasses look is so iconic that those parodying the dance must wear the shades to honor Joel and the movie. And plus it’s funnier.

Don’t know.

reply

So you think that just about everyone who does the dance scene decided for no reason whatsoever to wear the RayBans? And what about the people who say that Joel did wear the shades in the film? So just about everyone is wrong?

reply

I don't have the movie and haven't seen it in decades...

Are you guys suggesting that the movie has been altered or that people are remmebering it incorrectly?

reply

Mandela Effect. It's not that the movie has been altered officially, it's that it has changed for most people and yet no version of the old way exists. But plenty of "residue" exists that proves Dolly did indeed have braces. Here's just one of several...
