Wanted to like it

Wanted to go back to the 80s and find a lost gem that I missed at the time. This wasn't it.

Disgusting teenage boys with no real interests, just girls doing their school duties so they can go to college and get a high paying job. Cardboard. Really, the only personality they had was being mean to their friend, Joel, the "nice boy."

The music was unusual - about all this film had going for it. Guess I just don't like teenage sex comedies, apparently.

I really don't get what anyone sees in this. Well done for what it is, perhaps, but I couldn't relate to any of it, probably because I was never a disgusting teenage boy. Not to say they all have to be disgusting but most likely many are like the cardboard brainless punks in this movie.
