I think this film is actually on dvd as of November 2004. I i could only find somewhere that will stock it.

This is indeed on DVD. Having said that the quality of the picture and sound are dismal. Amazon is selling it for around $25.00 ($15.00 used). My VHS copy is actually superior in every way, but I don't know how easily one can be obtained. I'm still hoping the original series will be available soon on DVD. Even the original movies would be welcomed!!!

There were no "original movies." Just the 2-part episodes given different names.
