Why didn’t Obi Wan tell Luke about the high ground and that’s how he beat Anakin the first time? In ROTJ Luke vs Vader fight, Luke has the high ground on the platform, but I guess Vader learned his lesson and throw his saber to cut the platform down.
shareExactly. Vader didn't even attempt to go after Luke on the platform because of the high ground. He probably had flashbacks of Mustafar. Vader knew he had to get rid of that platform right away lol. Obi-Wan could have at least told Luke about it when he was leaving Dagobah in Empire. Instead he says something about not giving in to hate, but the high ground tactic would have been more useful advice! "Luke, use the high ground" so you don't get your hand cut off!
