The point of getting a dwarf to play some tiny creature in your movie is to avoid child labor laws, which are really annoying to deal with. But for some reason they got a 13 year old dwarf to play an ewok? Why?
DAVIS WAS HIRED AS AN EWOK EXTRA.AS WAS MOST EVERYONE MEETING THE HEIGHT REQUIREMENT.WHEN THE ACTOR PLAYING WICKET FELL ILL,GEORGE LUCAS CHOSE WARWICK TO PLAY THE PART BASED ON WHAT LUCAS HAD OBSERVED OF DAVIS IN COSTUME(HE WAS IMPRESSED).
I'm not sure how that proves that child labor laws aren't sometimes a hindrance. No one was claiming it makes finishing a movie with children impossible.
young Warwick Davis was british. Plus it was 1982-1983 back then where things were different back then while people like you make a big deal about it these days
So I know this site isn't populated by the brightest of individuals, but I am still a lil shocked by how many of you didn't understand the point of my post. You put dwarfs in costumes to play little things instead of children because they are adults, and are therefore easier to deal with mentally plus no child labor laws. Which means that a 13 year old dwarf is worthless, it has none of the perks of a dwarf.
And the guy writing in all caps already answered my question.
