Must seen for modern Greece history knowers

Although lot of time knew this film, it was only recently that I managed to watch and I can say I was shocked after the end for the next 24 hours!

Exceptional performing, but above all a masterpiece of direction.

Whoever has a least knowledge of the modern Greece history, would bring memories, or realise how things were at that time.

I am sorry not to know enough english to describe the magnitude of this movie. Possibly the best modern Greek movie, surely the best of 80s-90s movie

This movie describes the history of Greece from 1922 to 1950! It's really a brilliant movie!

Netflix has it as a disc rental (not streaming). That's how I caught this beautiful, dramatic film. I recommend it to anyone with an interest in greek history, culture and music.
