Own Stunts?

I loved this movie as a child and was totally impressed by a girl playing football. At that time I assumed Helen Hunt was actually throwing the passes but probably not taking the hits. I recently watched the movie again as an adult and honestly couldn't tell if they used a stunt double to throw the passes. They probably did but I couldn't tell. Does anyone know if a stunt double was used to make the throws?
