Who's eye was looking in to the shower ?

Norman was playing the piano. I can't imagine Spool or Mary's mother would want to spy on her.

I'm still marveling over that myself, after dozens of viewings. But each time, the woman Mary sees through the peep hole actually looked exactly like Mary, herself.

Which makes me presume that the stalker (Spool or Lila) held up a photograph of Mary to the peep hole in order to confuse and doubly startle her.

After watching closely a few times, I came to the conclusion that it shows Spool's eye first and then does a super fast edit to show Mary's eye looking startled from the other side.

It was a hand held mirror that was on the other side. What Mary saw was the reflection of her own eye. Whoever held the mirror is up to your interpretation.

I agree.

The celluloid would've benefited the world more as guitar picks used in Guitar Center to play "Stairway to Heaven" over and over and over.
