I've seen only the beginnings of remake and Bates Motel, not the whole movie.

Bates Motel (1987) I've never seen it.

I'll have to come back and rate them all later because I haven't seen 3 and 4 yet (well, not recently enought to remember them).
But what I know already is that I love Psycho II, because I've seen it many times and just watched it again. I love the chemistry between Anthony Perkins and Meg Tilly. I could rewatch their scenes over and over. I much prefer Psycho II over the original. The whole mood is superior, it has a better story (if a little far fetched near the end), and I love stuff that was made in the 80s.

i know these psycho sequels have a bad reputation (atleast with critics) but as a teenager i was totally hooked on them and even liked the third one best, as i watch it now i realise it has lot of turkey vibe and weird camera shots which hurts it, still not as strange i liked "death wish 3" best of that franchise, but this psycho 2 seem to have a fairly good reputation even with critics, but as the case with a previous poster here its been a while since i saw them to give them a fair rating. i wonder if these sequels would have kept coming since perkins kept starring in them up to his passing. i read he was offered the role in "bates motel" (made before psycho 4) but turned it down, i think that was probably the right thing to do since "real" psycho sequels was still in the making, i think its right put saying that (bates motel) movie shouldn't even count kind of, that includes other mentioned titles here also, but if the hitchcock movie is to be included, which is about the filming of psycho 1... then i have to say really like that one as well. overall the ratings here seem to be pretty fair.

I will only rate PSYCHO II-83' as being my favorite, also one of my favorites horrors. As for the others, it depends on my mood, and while the original is a classic, I am not overly sold on it after Marion's demise.
Don't eat the whole ones!...Those are for the guests. 🍪
Since I have only watch only first two Psychos...
