Question about the ending(spoilers)
Were Jamie's parents killed at some point? I didn't see it and I'm wondering why he was sent to live with his grandparents at the end.

Although an old topic... I don't think it's that so as much as that they knew the little girl had discovered (or the grandparents & girl) had a pit of their own with these trolologs (or whatever they're called). So the plan was to lure Jamie over to that new Pit (since the old one was filled in & those were all shot and killed), and push him in the whole time.
They knew that Jamie was responsible for the deaths of Sandy, and all his previous sitters... as well as the other missing children & the old lady... so to finally put a stop to this madness the only way was to send him to his grandparents who luckily had their own pit. Who this little girl was? Who knows, probably just some little girl that they [the grandparents] set up to lure him and be nice so she could push him into the pit and get rid of Jamie forever.
Or...they just went on vacation again, as it was mentioned throughout the film that they like to do on a regular basis, hence Jamie needing new babysitters constantly.
Honestly, nothing in the last 1/3 of the movie really made sense. Plot holes and dangling plot threads were all over the place. Like, you notice they only killed 2 of the trogs? Where are the other 2? Then they just blame it on wild dogs and bury the evidence and cover it up? Why? What was the point of that? Don't read too much into it, it was just a rushed ending.
