Im staring in the play production of this and im playing Kate. What role is that? Is it a good role? Is it a main role thanks if you know the answers =]

Not really a big role. Very few speaking parts and a small vocal solo. It's not one of the 6 main roles (Mabel, Frederick, Pirate King, GMS, Ruth or the Sargeant) but it's fun. But even just being one of the daughters is fun, too. Is this a high school production? I did it in high school and it's still one of the best things I ever did in high school, bar none.

The Colonel is dead and here we are enjoying his chicken.

kate has a solo in "climbing over rockey mountian", and in "when the foreman bears his steel", i think.

Edith is the sister that has solos in both songs...

Kate has one solo in "Climbing over rocky mountains" and that's it

And poor Isobel only gets the line of dialogue about the mermaids...
