If someone can give me helpful tips...

My school this year instead of doing a musical is putting on a Broadway Revue. One of the songs is The Very Model of a Modern Major General and I was chosen to be the one to sing it... and memorizing and getting the tempo right is proving to be very dificult. Does someone have any tips to help me? Thanks in advance!
