Apparently you haven't seen a lot of movies. I agree that it's pretty cheesy but there's much worse out there. Try Army of Darkness (1992) for starters.

reply

You much not watch a lot of movies either if you think Army of Darkness is bad.

The next time I have some natchos, I'll dip them in this movie. Coppola should've consulted his friend George Lucas on how he made American Graffiti; A film which shows teen angst a bit better.

One of Coppola's other duds: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087089/?ref_=nv_sr_1

I love this movie and you spelled nachos wrong, but that made me laugh :P

reply

Yeah, right. I'd watch this over "American Graffiti" any day.

reply

Yes it is.

Agree, this was bloody awful to sit through. I think it was the cheesy, unrealistic dialogue that did it. That and the bad acting in parts.

Pity, I'd expected so much more from this director and cast.

Most movies made in past decades are cheesy if u really think about it!

reply

there is something about 80s movies in particular though, they really ramped up the cheese. Even stuff like the karate kid is cheesy as hell.

reply

And yet movies made post 9/11 are the very worst ever made. Go figure.

reply

There's nothing cheesy nor corny about The Outsiders. People who fail to recognize true art and creative talent are the ones who are deficient.

But you're certainly entitled to your opinion - for what it's worth.
