I found this movie enjoyable and it was the first Moore film that I watched. I liked this one and the spy who loves me. The action in Octopussy is great supported with gadgets, classy girls and a good villain.

Did you watch the rest of the Moore's? I think the reason why so many didn't like it is because it's too routine.

I'd say Moore's best are Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, and Octopussy, in that order probably too. But his others I thought sucked.

I think Live and Let Die is his best.

Yes Ryno I watched all of Moore's and every bond movie that has come out

Octopussy is my favorite Roger Moore/007 film, along with For Your Eyes Only.

I also thought this movie was pretty underrated. I came into it having zero expectations because of all the bad things I heard about it but it was actually pretty good. Sure there were some silly parts but you just have to over look that. It was an entertaining movie.

Before a few years ago, I couldn't remember anything about this movie. I owned it for years, but barely watched it. I started holding Bond marathons, and it's really helped me appreciate a lot of these Roger Moore films. His Bond films really are terrific I think.

This is my favorite Roger Moore Bond movie of all, and in fact is my favorite movie of all time period (see my 30th Anniversary thread). And his The Spy Who Loved Me is my second favorite movie of all time, with For Your Eyes Only coming in at third. So I definetly think Octopussy is underrated if it gets less than ultimate praise.

I noticed that excluding A view to a kill and license to kill john glen really worked on crafting good action sequences during his tenure. Octopussy has more action then half of the bond movies that came before it. For your eyes only and the living daylights had great action also. Sure octopussy is silly at times but it is entertaining and not boring.
