This is the worst Bond film to me

I think this film is very formulaic and totally forgettable.

Every James Bond movie, even the weakest ones, have good sides and memorable characters.
The man with the golden gun has the locations and the villain.
AVTAK has the music, Walken and Grace Jones.
Diamonds are forever has Blofeld and Connery back, and got a cool 70's feel.

Octopussy doesn't have anything. It doesn't have memorable villains, it doesn't have any understandable plot, it doesn't have nice music and the girls are lame.

The only things Octopussy does have is :
- A confusing plot,
- 2 barely related villain at the same time,
- A stupid climax with bimbos fighting the villains doing gymnastic
- An assault with a baloon
- Stupid, unrealistic and useless allies
- A very boring bond girl
- A too old Bond and a too old Moneypenny
- Bernard Lee is really missing us
- The music is too girlish and sleepy
- Everything is cliché

Its one of my lesser favorites but I still really like it. Quantum of Solace is my least favorite by far.

First off ,I see a lot of posts naming "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER" One of the worst. Absolutely not, anything with Sean Connery cannot make the bottom of the barrel list..... anyway my proof of this one being one of the worst can be summed up in two words,
" SAWBLADE- YO-YO " need I say more?

It can. Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again suck, fanboy.

SAWBLADE - YO-YO need I say more?

Blofeld in drag, Bambi and Thumper, elephant on the slot machine, Tiffany Case being smart and then turning dumb, Connery's absolutely laughable wig and eyebrows, "Oh my god, you killed James Bond!".... Need I say more?

This is the worst Bond, agreed. He only finds out there is a bomb at the end. There was no reason for the other MI6 agent to have been following the group. It was only his death that lead James there. A pointless movie.

This one isn't great but I must say that "A View to a Kill" is the worst one IMO.

We all have our favorite (and least favorite) Bond films. These are mine from worst to first. I am shocked Octopussy would grade out so low (I rate this as the second best of the Moore Bonds (The Spy Who Loved Me is best)). The one Bond film that I rate higher then most was The Living Daylights. I love Maryam D'Abo and I have no idea how her cousin Olivia made it and she did not.
Quantum of Solace
Die Another Day
Moonraker
Licence to Kill
The World Is Not Enough
Tomorrow Never Dies
Diamonds Are Forever
A View to a Kill
Golden Eye
For Your Eyes Only
The Man With The Golden Gun
You Only Live Twice
Never Say Never Again
Dr. No'
Spectre
Octopussy
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Thunderball
The Spy Who Loved Me
Casino Royale
The Living Daylights
Skyfall
Goldfinger
From Russia With Love

I never liked the Moore Bonds, and thought the series hit rock bottom with Moonraker, bounced back briefly with For Your Eyes Only, then went right back into the crapper with Octopussy

For me, here's my all time for Moore as Bond:

1. The Man With The Golden Gun
2. Octopussy
3. The Spy Who Loved Me
4. For Your Eyes Only
5. Live and Let Die
6. Moonraker
7. A View To A Kill

I found Moore more interesting from a comic relief point of view, but I have to admit I didn't like the sado-masochism crap. Of course, they got away with that in the 1970s a bit much. That was uncalled for, no matter how entertaining and adventurous the rest of these movies were, and yes I know the first one I mentioned really went against Maud Adams throughout her whole role in the film. Slapped around by Bond and assassinated by Scaramanga. Glad she received a better role in the second one on my list Octopussy, where she was treated with a lot more respect on screen.

I found Moore more interesting from a comic relief point of view, but I have to admit I didn't like the sado-masochism crap, especially what they did with Maud Adams' character, slapped around by Bond and assassinated by Scaramanga. It would have just simple to take her role out of the film completely, considering how much her character was treated in that film. Glad she received a better role in the second one on my list Octopussy, where she was treated with more respect on screen.

A View To A Kill - both Roger Moore and Christopher Walken looked very off in the film. Moore definitely needed to retire for his age and who ever did Walken's make up should have been canned because they turned him into a bisexual blood thirsty weirdo.

Sean Connery was good too but I never really thought he had quite as much charisma, just acted like a guy who knew he has handsome and expected women crawl all over him.
