Why the plane scene at the end?

I mean don't take me wrong it's a great scene with amazing stunts but it's just to unrealistic to digest, it was all ok until the end.

I can buy the opening sequence with the little plane, hell even Bond going Tarzan in the jungle and the bomb in the circus was suspenseful but the last plane scene just takes out any seriousness it could had.
