...scenes from "The Galaxy Invader" are in both the opening and end credits in a version of this movie,
even if it has nothing to do with this movie,
but can someone please explain why I still think "The Galaxy Invader"
takes place in the same universe as this boring as *beep* depressing movie?
Something keeps telling me they do, even if they have nothing to do with each other,
Can someone explain why I think this?

Maybe because they both involve aliens, some woods, and some redneck characters whose first instinct is to kill the alien. They have similar themes and quality, although the acting in Galaxy Invader is slightly worse, more akin to a community theater group.
