Night of the Rat

I thought the movie couldn't get any worse, then this part comes along. A giant rat that howls.

Absolutely hilarious! A superimposed rat with red eyes howling like a banshee. Almost worth the pain to see such nonsense . . .

I saw this on tv today on some HD channel. Really stupid, but funny. All the rat wanted was her baby back lol.

My family and I laughed out loud throughout the entire thing.

A hamster, who was probably only yawning, set to an out of synch howl sound effect. The quality of this one gives me Nightmares©.

Richard Masur, you gotta hand it to him he some how took this role as seriously as he would any other.

the film is a classic of low-rent, yet benign stupidty from the early 80s. i remember seeing the tv previews for this when i was a kid. it looked really scary to me. what a joke! now it's notable only as the first time i ever heard (or acknowledged) the term "sleeper" in reference to movies. the narrator in the preview said the film's tagline aloud at the end "this year's sleeper." i wondered what the hell that meant for about four years.
