Does anybody remember the name of the rat in this movie? I think it was a german name or something.

"Das Teufel Nagetier" is indeed german, though maybe a bit wonky from a grammatical viewpoint. Then again, I suppose that's because the book the guy was taking it from was really really old so it may as well have been apt back in the day.

Either way, the translation "the devil rodent" is very much correct.
