Was this Originally a Made for TV Movie?

Because this film was just a disaster. Loved the Bryan Adams soundtrack though.

I have no answer, but I agree this feels very TV-movieish, with a few titillating details thrown in to earn an R rating just barely.

No this was a theatrically released movie with a $6 million budget (high in those days) that was expected 10 times that. Guess what. It bombed.

I saw it in a theater in 1983.

I don't remember if it was good or bad. I just remember wishing that I looked like the babe-magnet Chris Atkins was.

Yep, that's right; a TV movie with COCK shots..

"IMdB; where 14 year olds can act like jaded 40 year old critics...'

I'm not the only person who guesses that A Night In Heaven was sent to cinematic Hell by some very poor editing. Probably about fifteen minutes of footage that ended up on the cutting-room floor but shouldn't have done so would have made this turkey at least make some sense to the movie-going audience.

No. In the old days there used to be these theaters that were long past their glory days that would still nevertheless operate and show stuff like this as well old kung fu movies, previous bombs under new titles designed to fool people, old movies with a newly famous actor in a bit part, and so on.
