Beverly D'Angelo should have recorded that "Mockingbird" song for real

I've heard the original by Inez Foxx, as well as covers by Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Carly Simon, and others, but I still like the way D'Angelo sings it the best. Imagine how good it would have sounded if done in a real recording studio (complete with "studio sweetening", including selecting the best of multiple takes) with a band and a good singing partner, i.e., someone better than Chevy Chase. Chase did okay, but his singing talent and voice isn't comparable to D'Angelo's.
