what jobs did clark and ellen have

It would be interesting to know what they did when they weren't on vacation.

Clark had an office job. Wife was a mother.

reply

Ellen was a housewife, Clark developed food additives.

reply

Clark was an executive with a nutritional agency, and I don't believe Ellen was employed

reply

Coming up with "newer and better food additives" (not exactly a nutritionist) was Clark's profession.

reply

I grew up with these vacation movie but it took me years to understand Clark worked for a company that adds chemicals to food to make them last longer.

reply

I just rewatched European Vacation and he states that he's in "food additives and condiments."

anyone who has seen Christmas Vacation knows he has an office job and bill murrays brother is his jerk boss.

reply

bill murrays brother is his jerk boss.

And in the first one, he plays the guy that rents them the tent, although its meant to be a different character, I'm sure.

Good 1

I don't think Ellen had a job, but it pretty much says in all of them that he works in the food additive business.

reply

ellen is mentioned to have a job in vegas vacation.

reply

Clark developed food additives.

reply

Clark has always been a chemical engineer. Good job, developing food additives. If you pay attention, in Christmas Vacation there is a molecular model on his desk. It takes brains to do chemistry, which is why it's weird that he's such a bumblefart.
