I recently visited a few of the filming locations from Vacation. You can check them out at

Damn Centipede, that's so awesome you found those locations! I've driven by that house in Los Feliz so many times going up to Griffith Observatory not even knowing that was their house in the film!

I've also gone by the car dealership so many times going to the Glendale galleria. What's hilarious is that car dealership is almost on the corner of Brand and Chevy Chase Blvd!

I'm surprised you didn't go to Magic Mountain, they've had a lot of roller coasters added to it since 1982. Anyway, good job on finding those locations, that was awesome!

Thanks, Inspector but I can't take credit for finding them, I just went and took pictures. When I was in Valencia, Magic Mountain was closed that day and when I was in Arcadia, Santa Anita Park hadn't opened yet, but I will get there someday.

Ha ha, you mean the REAL Wally World was actually closed? That's hilarious! You would think Magic Mountain would be like Disneyland and stay open 365 a year.

Yeah, I guess after the summer, they cut back on their hours. Oh well. It gives me reason to go back to LA.

When you get to Santa Anita, the exact location, as best I could match up on Google Earth, is:
34°07'56.42" N 118°03'05.70" W

or: Gate 1, near the Macy's mall entrance, also, near 609 W Huntington Dr.

You can see it on Google Earth Street View, using the coordinates above.
