Just re-watch the movie

For those who don't know...it's quite difficult to find a copy of Antartica. Or maybe impossible. No DVD (or only in Japan, no subtitles) and video store just don't have a VHS copy.
Can't say that I'm proud of it...but I had no choice to look over internet and download it from a Peer 2 peer program.
So I found it. Some guy from France, I guess, made a copy from a VHS and rip it in DIVX format. I'm glad I speak french...cause the movie is dubed in French.

I saw a very long time ago this movie, in french canadian television..and I wanted for so long to watch it again...So I just did. The movie is still excelent. Very sad story.

Just Can't understand why Disney made a remake?
Why a Major or producer...buy the right a make a decend DVD copy instead!

Anyway. I hope for you guys you have the chance to see this excellent movie.
9/10 (good music, brillant story)

I just downloaded the film yesterday but it's also in French. I don't feel glad downloading the movie but no stores have it here in town, or on Amazon. The film is beautiful and the dogs were wonderful. One thing I would never forget is the ending when the surviving dogs are reunited with their humans with that Theme From Antarctica playing in the background.

One question though, what happened to Jack?? I don't remember seeing Jack's name and age mentioned or death. Thanks!

No, it's really Jack and Anko and Deri and Furen-NoKuma, just read the book -Pawprints in Japan-...the subtitler went a bit wacky IMO. Or perhaps was translating from Japanese to Chinese (subtitles) to English (also subtitles simultaneously).

When the guys finally returned to Antarctica, they saw Jack's body still laying where he died (frozen) on top of a rock. They were in a chopper when they saw him. Wish he'd have made it. The rest too!

Yes, the original Japanese one is much better, same applying to <shall we dance>, Hollywood remade it too.
