Dear Criterion member,

In 1983 there was a release of a Japanese movie called “Nankyoku monogatari “ a.k.a “Antarctica”

There are many people who wants to see this back on DVD/Blu-Ray, including me.

This fantastic movie, with the beautiful soundtrack (nominated) of the famous composer Vangelis, is still timeless.

But somehow it’s lost in time… we can’t find an original dvd copy with English (or in my language ‘Dutch’) subtitles…

Can you please bring this movie back on a medium? You would make many people very happy 

Well.. it really would be nice to see this as a Criterion Blu-Ray-release, but just one thing: If you don't have a region-free Blu-Ray player, forget it. They put region codes on all their releases, DVD (1) or Blu-Ray (A).

Last time I checked, Belgium was in Europe (Region-B)

Second the note to Criterion-this needs to be on dvd for ALL regions! Another great film lost in copyright limbo.
