Is it TIME for a reboot?

It's timely, considering no one can find a job.

I think you mean a remake, but yeah they could, however I don't think it's as relevant today as it was back in the 80's. Most families nowadays have double incomes, with both the wife and husband working. Back then, not so common as it is today. Also, there are a lot more stay at home dads nowadays as well. So yeah, I don't think this movie could possibly be done, and have the same effect as it did back in the 80's.

Nowadays it would be hard to find a mother knowledgeable about cooking, shopping for groceries, and doing laundry. The reboot would be about a teen mother out of school taking her kids to day care or to hang out with friends and then going to the tanning bed while her mother went to work.

It's a little dated because it's much more common for a wife/mother to be a (if not THE) breadwinner. I love this movie just as it is, a slice of life In the early '80s.

No. Hollywood is remake/reboot crazy and classics like this need to be left alone. We don't need to have entertainment gernerators recycling films instead of trying to create new content.

Remakes and reboots almost always fail to satisfy viewers. I pretty much boycott them all nowadays.

Thank you!!! Finally someone who understands that this trend is not working, I don't care who is remaking which ever film! I am sick of these remakes!

Always look for the positive in every situation.

My theory is that only films that had great potential but terrible execution should ever be considered for reboots or remakes or whatever... Classics with huge fan bases only result in inferior remakes that never live up to their predecessors.

I don't need no stinking signature!

Yes, let's have that jj abrams hack reboot this to something absolutely terrible. GREAT idea ya got there!

Yes remake it and have Michael Keaton play the Jeffrey Tambor or the Martin Mull role. Be funny. Of course as long as they don't cast Seth Rogan or any former Disney channel cast members.
