Ad agencies today... versus in Mr. Mom

full of geeky kids... no one over 30. In this film, the boss was 50 and everyone else was mid to late 40s

Um, look at the ages on IMDB! The boss was in his early 40's and Teri Garr in her 30's. In the 80's and before, people aged quite differently compared to now.

reply

erm, OK!

They didn't age differently, but the styles back then were more aging. Plus, people today make more of an effort to dress younger and look younger.

How many major ad agencies are still based in Detroit? It seems like New York or LA would be a better location for an ad agency. I know major auto companies were based out of Detroit, but this company's major account was a tuna fish company.

Surprised no one's mentioned the hand drawn chart displays, as opposed to the use of modern presentation programs. 🐭

reply

Uhhh How much of that was available in 1983??

reply

Dunno, but Garr was still scrumptious a decade after this flick was released https://youtu.be/N6aE1YUJH2M?si=IrpfGT-eEdwesZcv
