WHY HE DIDN'T KEEP JEAN CLAUDE?

I LOVE THIS MOVIE A LOT, IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES, AND IT CONCERNS ME IS WHY IF HE KNOWS THAT THIS IS HIS KID, AND JEAN CLAUDE KNOWS THAT THIS IS HE'S FATHER WHY HE DECIDES TO SENT HIM BACK TO FRANCE?
AND WHY EVERYBODY IS BEING TO BAD WITH THE POOR BOY, HE DIDN'T DID NOTHING,
HE DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY WHAT HER MOTHER AND FATHER DID?

"WHY HE DECIDES TO SENT HIM BACK TO FRANCE?"

Jean-Claude said he belongs in France. It was Jean-Claude's decision. Did you even WATCH the movie?

I expect he'd come back to visit and maybe even live with them. Interesting though that the end of the movie just showed the father being SO depressed and walking on the beach. And then I remember that this was written by Erich Segal who wrote Love Story ...

Yes! It is a very melancholic film! We dont know for certain if he will come back (After the way he was treaded by the mother and the girls he might not) the last thing we see is the kid and the dad heartbroken that they have to part ways.I really dont think Jean Claude made the decision to stay in France for the right reasons. One scene before the truth blew out he was going to stay in the states, he only changed his mind because of his half sister slapping him across the face and the fact their mother was horrible to him throughout the film (I'm actually happy he didnt answer her when she said she was hopping they could be friend!Seriously no excuse for the way she behaved with that poor kid.Vile, selfish woman she was)
I felt for the kid , they were so horrible to him when he was the real victim of the story :( None of them stopped to think how he must feel , having just lost his mother.
My opinion is that this was the last time they will see him because he his afraid of breaking that family up.
Really sad, poignant film but still very good!
