One of the truly great Australian films and there's precious little discussion on imdb. That's a tragedy. Why can't Aust. make films like this anymore? More European in it's reference points than American.
shareThanks for the good words about this film. I recall hearing of Paul Cox's productions from many years back, but never had a chance to catch any of them. I just ordered "Lonely Hearts" and next on my list is this one. I'm very excited to see it after so many positive and intriguing comments.
shareAdded bonus is that Werner Herzog plays the Father! Didn't reaslise that at the time. And Chris Haywood is one of Australia's most underrated actors. Enjoy.
