Soundtrack

I wish the soundtrack to this movie would be released.

It may have been the best thing about it.

One of the best soundtracks ever, and like Sleazerama's post & link show, it is out of CD by one of the finest back catalogue labels, Bear Family.

I discovered this movie on VHS in 1988 and cobbled together my own soundtrack directly off the tape. Even hunted down some Robert Gordon stuff from the Rockabilly Resurrection of the early 80s, but it was not until 2005 that I actually found the soundtrack as an import CD from the UK. The combination of original tunes from the era, including both the obligatory early Rock-n-Roll and less conventional tunes for a movie like this (i.e.- Brenda Lee), combined with the contemporary music of Robert Gordon, made this a great soundtrack. My first cross-country motorcycle ride featured this soundtrack in my headphones...

"I was born overheated beneath a blue-black sky."
